      从价是各国征税时通用的一个原则，即征税时按商品价格的一定百分比确定税额，随商品价格的上涨，税额增加，随商品价格的下跌，税额减少，是与“从量原则”对应的。Ad valorem是拉丁文。
      征收从价税，确定商品的完税价格是关键。目前许多资本主义国家，都以商品的实际价格即在某一时间和地点，在正常的贸易条件下，在充分竞争的环境中，商品成交的价格作为完税价格。
     《关税及贸易总协定》的各缔约国之间一般采取从价原则征收进口关税。
